NSW-1 represents COSNet participants at University of Sydney, University of Newcastle and the Australian Graduate School of Management (a School of both the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales), and other New South Wales (NSW) participants.

Potentially NSW-1 includes members from other universities (e.g. University of Technology Sydney, Macquarie University, University of New England), but new COSNet members from New South Wales universities not currently represented in COSNet may choose equally to affiliate with NSW-2 or NSW-3.
