Hi, I'm Tim Baynes. After a rather diverse career in applied physics I have ended up as a systems analyst within the Urban Systems Program of CSIRO’s Sustainable Ecosystems Division. It is there that my interests in industrial ecology, sustainability, risk, resilience and complex system dynamics, coincide happily with my job description.

Over the last year I have maintained a network of researchers and urban specialists through coordinating several workshops and a wiki website as part of the Complex Dynamics of Urban Systems project. Concurrently I've been involved in several projects with ACT Department of Territory and Municipal Services, the SEQ Water Alliance and CSIRO's Energy Transformed Flagship in computer simulation and scenario analysis of climate adaptation policy options.
