Hi, I'm a PhD Student at the Australian National University doing research into plasma confinement for the purposes of fusion power. I wanted to do a theoretical physics PhD that had some practical applications, while learning about the physical phenomena I am most interested in, chaos. My interests extend further though, into networks and especially emergence.

Fusion research has a very long-term practical turnaround but I believe any research in chaos has implications on other situations becuase chaos is observed in most physical systems, especially complex ones.

I'm excited at the prospect of discussing these big issues with people from other backgrounds (us physicists all tend to think the same way).
