Hi, I'm Jess Melbourne-Thomas and I'm in the second year of my PhD at the University of Tasmania. My project is to develop decision support tools that can be used by researchers and managers to explore future scenarios for coral reef systems. These tools take the form of spatially explicit models, that capture bio-physical and socio-economic processes and interactions at local to regional scales. My research is part of a broader modelling effort supported by the GEF Coral Reef Targeted Research Program.
