Lectureship in Complexity Sciences, UK (posted 12/12/2007)
The University of Bristol has recently launched the Bristol Centre for Complexity Sciences, a doctoral training centre supported by a £4M EPSRC grant. This major initiative involves 13 departments across the University. As a Lecturer in Complexity Sciences, you will use computational and/or mathematical methods to answer substantive questions in complexity sciences ranging across engineering, life sciences and molecular sciences. You will also teach postgraduate students on the first year of their four year PhD programme and supervise them in subsequent years. Candidates with interests in computer science backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply, as are those whose field of application covers the molecular sciences and the life sciences. Your expertise will complement that of the existing BCCS staff. A multidisciplinary outlook is essential.
